The wicks are fastened mechanically to ensure durability, they aren’t sewn!

Fire Safety Tips

Practicing fire spinning with your lotus fire fans can be dangerous, so please be prepared and confident. Most importantly wear tighter fitting clothes and never burn alone, so you can be as safe as possible! Spinning fire in public spaces can be dangerous, therefore you are responsible for any and all damage to property and injury to yourself and others. The North American Fire Arts Association has resources for fire artists including safety, insurance and guidelines for obtaining fire permits.
